WHO CAN JOIN The following persons are eligible for membership at HARLINGEN AREA TEACHERS' CREDIT UNION: Effective March 2, 2005, any person who lives, works, attends school or worships within a 10-mile radius of any credit union branch office is eligible. Any teacher or retired teacher who lives within a 10-mile radius of a branch office is eligible. Any Doctor or Dentist who is certified to practice at VBMC and their employees are eligible. FAMILY members of anyone who is eligible to join may also be accepted as members of HATCU.
